Salvatore Ferragamo will be the exclusive sponsor of the recent exhibition of Leonardo da Vinci, “The Saint Anne, Leonardo da Vinci’s Ultimate Masterpiece”, which will be exhibited at the Louvre from March 29 until June 25, 2012. This event is dedicated to the oil painting by Leonardo da Vinci entitled “The Virgin and Child with Saint Anne”, which was created between 1503 and 1519 and has recently undergone a thorough restoration.
Chairman of the Group Ferragamo, Ferruccio Ferragamo, said: “It’s a great honor for our family and for our house to have been selected among the other high bidders to grant this unique event. Salvatore Ferragamo will present the collection Resort 2012, designed by Creative Director Massimiliano Giornetti, on June 12. The creations of the house will flood a unique catwalk 120-meters under the arcades of the wing Denon, surrounding the Louvre. It is the first time the museum grant permission for the use of historic interior spaces in a fashion show. In the past, similar events have taken place in the courtyard next to the glass pyramid.
After the show will follow prive dinner and private tour of the museum.
