KATIE GRAND LOVES HOGAN – Director of Love magazine and renowned stylist Katie Grand is summoned by Andrea Della Valle to cooperate with the firm Hogan to create a capsule collection for Spring / Summer 2013. The mini collection that produced jointly called GANG (gang) and consists of: sneakers in three designs (classic low, high-top booties and platform), ballerinas, leather bags in two sizes and oval sunglasses.

It’s in the DNA of the house to capture the new project that harmonize with the international spirit and easy-chic lifestyle, “said Andrea Della Valle, chairman of the House Hogan and Tod’s vice president. “Katie’s collection is quite sophisticated and exerts a strong pull, fully compatible with the essence of relaxed elegance representing the Hogan. Katie has an innovative vision, which is used to interpret an unconventional way some of the most iconic products of Hogan ».
Olympia, Attractive and H194 belong to existing designs shoe firm, selected by the Grand from file and simultaneously redesigned using new combinations of leather and suede. “Many people seem to believe that sports-platforms is a new idea, but Attractive is in house of Hogan for years,” says Grand.
The colors in the collection are presented graphically bold: white, black, fuchsia and deep bright shades of yellow, green and blue that are often carried out with contradictory combinations. The leather hearts deify plans, providing both a visual reference to Love, the biannual journal of Grand. “I have a relationship with Hogan and Andrea Della Valle, dating back many years,” says Grand. “I’ve worked with them for three seasons, so I understand the product. I wanted to bring a fresh sense of femininity, that’s why I used so much intense shade of pink, which was always one of my favorite colors: it is a female with so alive and passionate and not prudish. ”
Grand has made available to this project and its capabilities as an editor and as parallel with the collection of a magazine released a one-off version with 14 photographs of her favorite models. Among them, Alessandra Ambrosio, Maria Bradley, Saskia de Brauw, Edie Campbell, Cara Delevingne, Linda Evangelista, Magdalena Frackowiak, Dree Hemingway, Kati Nescher, Julia Nobis, Missy Rayder, Hilary Rhoda, Jessica Stam and Edita Vilkeviciute, while photographing accompanied from an interview to Derek Blasberg.
The collection Hogan by Katie Grand will be available exclusively at the Hogan boutique in March 2013.
