Present meets past, that has been brought to life, and merge together in new combinations. This is what characterizes the Fall/Winter 2012‐13 Arnoldo][Battois collection.
Shiny black shaggy fur, waxed wooden friezes on soft red ochre nubuck with details in patent-‐leather, olive cortex calf shapes contrast with neutral tones smooth surfaces, waxed figures illuminate graphite nubuck surfaces: different ways to interpret flat bags with pure geometry found in old trunks.
The doctor bag and the “Elefante” are presented in classic cognac vegetable-‐tanned calf, in shaggy fur combined with calves and patent-‐ eather in the tones of iron, up to two-‐tone pomegranate lacquer python.
The pleated bags always present in Arnoldo][Battois collections: Elefante, Falena and Colibrì are made in clay plongè nappa with gold accessories.
I have to admit that “Elefante” is my favorite bag (Wish I could afford it!). It’s a classic and timeless piece that all women should have.
