The 11th International Fashion Week Athens Xclusive Designers Week will take place on 17-20 March 2012 at the Conference Centre Hall National Insurance showing the proposals by Greek designers from Greece and abroad for Autumn – Winter 2012/13.
The designers who will participate are:
Thes Tziveli: The internationally renowned Greek designer who lives and works in Italy, with a great worldwide career participates for the third time in AXDW to support the Greek fashion, producing a new collection Fall – Winter 2012/13.
Stephan Caras: The Greek designer with experience in international fashion like Guy Laroche, Biba and Hermes, is known from Hong Kong to New York with couture house keeping in Toronto, Canada. Famous guests, including the ladies of the royal family of Jordan, prefer the elegant creations. For the third time he will present his collection in AXDW.
Castro-Rojas: Charlyn Castro-Rojas comes for first time in Greece and AXDW from New York. Born in Puerto Rico, the attractive designer has worked with companies and clothing brands such as Esprit, Ann Taylor, Calvin Klein and Michael Kors.
Celebrity Skin: The avant garde duo of Dimitri and Helen Strepkou Barlos, has managed to impress with the theatrical clothing and in international press such as FIASCO, BLINK etc. Among the famous Celebrity Skin people are Eleonora Zouganeli, Kariofyllia Karabeti, Ada Livitsanou, etc.
Stelios Koudounaris: Cypriot rising designer who has emerged as Best Designer of the Year 2009 fashion week in Cyprus and has managed to exhibit his creations in London, Austria, Denmark and Cyprus. Playing a leading role in fashion from the very first collection, presents for the sixth time his proposals with unique futuristic look.
Ratt by Rita Attalla: Rita Attalla, attending studies in Veloudakis school and having worked with several designers, made her entry in the fashion of the brand Ratt. After 4 amazing collections, presents for the fifth time in AXDW.
Miltos: Female lines, timeless elegance, new style with high design, featuring collections of Miltos. With the unique quality of his creations, deifies the innocent femininity and takes us to the era of romanticism.
Ourania_Kay: Ourania_Kay in the eighth AXDW won the award for “Best Catwalk”. This time she is launching her fourth collection. He graduated ESMOD with a degree in Fashion Design and Pattern Drafting and had the opportunity to make its first steps next to big fashion names like Hussein Chalayan, Grazia Paris, Salon de Prêt-a-porter, Premiere Vision.
Asel & Eleonora: Asel & Eleonora having won the award for “Best Trendsetter” in the eighth AXDW, present for the fourth time casual and youthful creations proposals that highlight the feminine silhouette.
Notis Panayiotou: Cypriot jewelry designer, having entered the field of clothing design, presents for the sixth time in AXDW. In cooperation with the National Gallery and National Museum of Contemporary Art, has vast experience in the art and fashion.
The second day of AXDW, Sunday, March 18, 2012, is dedicated to young designers. This year, 12 New Designers will present her fresh ideas:

Designer Konstantinos Mitrovgenis, winner of last year’s Awards “Best New Designer” and “Best Catwalk”, will close the fashion shows. Participants will compete in the New Designers Awards and will be judged by a committee consisting of buyers, fashion editors and renowned designers, giving them the chance to win 3 awards – “Best New Designer,” Best Trendsetter by MTV “,” Best Catwalk “- at a glittering ceremony.
Throughout the event of major, contemporary photographs of Greek photographers will be exhibited in a specially designed space titled “Snapshots of Greek Fashion Photographers”. Coutayar Costas, Costas Avgoulas, Tassos Vrettos, Georgoussis Bill, Dessypri Mara, George Katsanaki, Krikis Thanasis, Bournias John, Nick Papadopoulos, Dimitris Skoulas, Tsatsani Katerina, opt for the Athens Xclusive Designers Week’s favorite fashion from their portfolio.
For the first time, there will be an exclusive site for our friends bloggers (ME!), the “Bloggers’ Corner by Sony”. Three different bloggers each show will have the opportunity to photograph the catwalks in the room with a camera from the series of compact cameras Sony Cyber-shot that will be provided by Sony.
The Xclusive Boutique of AXDW will have its own space with an even larger collection of vintage clothing and accessories signed by leading designers from around the world, which visitors of the event can get at a great price.
Τhe French brand professional makeup MAKE UP FOR EVER, exclusively available at SEPHORA, will take care of the makeup for fashion shows, along with his Greek makeup artist Emmanuel Apostolakis.
Live dj booths of the radio stations BEST Radio and VFM will play music all days of the event.
On the last day of the tournament, Tuesday, March 20, will be a unique “Closing Party” dedicated to the Greek fashion with live performance by the group 15 50.
