This preview of theArnoldo][Battois S/S 2012 collection, will be showed in Milan from September 9th toOctober 24th at Spring Upshowroom – Via Tortona 37.
The theme of the new Arnoldo][Battois spring summer 2012 collection is the trace, memory of colors, shapes, lights and materials. Traces as… sinuous metropolitan
rails on which fluorescent cars run, colored transparent shadows, ghosts of ancient metal ornaments, dynamic and complex plots, remembering invisible cities, memory generating ideas.
Fluo lacquered python and a curious metal accessory, nodes in waxed cotton and
transparent rubber thin out to reveal the color of the bags in nappa plongè hanging
from curious metal bars.
Fluo transparent plexiglass combine theirselves with surface in drummed kid, to encode a “new vintage”.
The color pallete, overflows of fluorescent red and yellow flashes, draws inspiration
from the world of Polaroid and faded pictures. Milk mint meats turquoise, pale coral
contaminated by beige, pinkish cognac, faded purple and laminated bronze chameleon
reflecting neighbouring colors.
