GlamRockChic which is conceived by Sarah Chin, is a luxury label specializing in high heels without the exorbitant price, but only the elite. This collection will feature 20 shoes which will be released in staggered timing.
For Spring Summer 2011, hues are tan, pea pod green, fuchsia, rich orange and lush vermillion set against gold or silver hardware or textured snake motif for edgy glam. Titled ‘Step Out’, the theme resonates closely with the designer’s bold decision to step out of corporate life and follow her passion in shoe designing.
There is the limited edition peep toe pump with metal mesh that sparkles with high glam. For lovers of ankle booties, the heart shaped cutout bootie is formal enough for work and cool enough for the hot summery weather ahead. Expect genuine sheep leather on the upper, lining and in sole.
The label however, does not use genuine exotic skins from python, lizard, crocodiles or rabbit fur, ostrich feathers and silk. For every collection, there will also be 1 – 2 styles that are crafted with high quality man made materials to cater to animal lovers. “I specialize in 4” and 4.5” heels for now. I believe this height is still relatively easy for most women to maneuver in, anything above that usually just stays in your closet till special occasion. I want women to wear my shoes daily!” Sarah says.
